Bournemouth want to sign 'dynamite' £13m Tottenham youngster on loan next season - journalist

Bournemouth are now said to be interested in signing a promising Tottenham Hotspur youngster on loan next season.

Ange Postecoglou and Daniel Levy have shown a real willingness to get involved in the loan market this season, not only bringing Timo Werner in, but also sanctioning several departures.

Along with senior players such as Tanguy Ndombele, Joe Rodon and Sergio Reguilon, Spurs also have several youngsters out playing senior minutes.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if Tottenham fans had been following Plymouth Argyle’s trevails fairly closely this season, given both Alfie Devine and Ashley Phillips are at the club this season.

Both have enjoyed a lot of minutes, even if Plymouth are stuck in a fierce relegation fight, having just sacked their manager.

That being said, Alejo Veliz hasn’t quite been getting the opportunities imagined whilst on loan at Sevilla this season.

Handed the #10 shirt on arrival, the Argentinian looked set for a big role, and yet has only played 23 minutes in La Liga thus far.

That being said, it seems as if Bournemouth could come to the rescue for Veliz next season.

According to journalist Uriel Lugt, the Premier League side have become alert to Veliz’s situation.

Lugt thinks the Tottenham youngster is almost certain to go out on loan again next season, and Bournemouth could be primed to make an offer.

Sharing his update on X, the journalist said: “Bournemouth is attentive to Alejo Veliz’s situation.

“In June he will return to Tottenham and it is almost a fact that he will go out on loan.”

Of course, this should be a move that is perfect for Tottenham.

Not only will Postecoglou and his team be able to keep a close eye on Veliz’s development, but the 20-year-old will also gain valuable Premier League experience.

The £13m-striker has long been thought to be a ‘dynamite’ talent, but hasn’t really been able to show it since leaving Argentina.

And if Veliz is not making too much progress on his loan right now, then next season will definitely be crucial.

All that being said, some concerns have recently been raised regarding Ashley Phillips’ loan at Plymouth.
