Jelly Roll ‘quit’ social media due to constant ‘bullying’ about his weight

“My husband got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his f****** weight,” Bunnie Xo, real name Alyssa DeFord, said on her Dumb Blonde podcast. “That makes me want to cry because he is the sweetest angel baby.

“My husband doesn’t show it to you guys, but I’m going to share it with you in a very vulnerable moment here. It hurts him,” she opened up.

“The internet can say whatever the f*** they want about you and they say, ‘You’re a celebrity. You’re supposed to be able to handle it.’ No, the f*** we’re not,” the 44-year-old added. “Enough is enough.”

The podcast host then warned her listeners to “never bully anyone,” as you “never know where they are mentally.”

Jelly Roll, real name, Jason Bradley DeFord is embarking on a weight loss journey, telling PEOPLE he had lost almost 70 lbs. “I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week. I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, and six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I’m eating healthy right now.”

The comments of Bunnie Xo’s TikTok were filled with love from fans, as one penned: “Ignore them! I love Jelly Roll.”

Another wrote: “I love Jelly Roll his music is part of the reason I got sober.”

Inside the couple’s relationship

It’s clear to see the love between the celebrity couple, but when exactly did the relationship begin? Well, the pair actually met during one of the singer’s 2015 shows in Vegas.

Less than one year after meeting, the couple tied the knot in Sin City, and have been going strong ever since.

On the first meeting, Jelly Roll revealed that it was his wife who made the first move.

“We hit it off. She said she fell in love with the saddest eyes in the room,” the Wild Ones singer told Taste of Country Nights host Evan Paul in 2022. “I’m not going to act like I shot my shot. She kind of shot hers. We had mutual friends. She said, ‘Yo. Just plug me in with Jelly.'”
